The assignment is:
“Think about the promotional strategies that work best on you as a consumer. Do you respond well to personal selling? Do you prefer sales promotions? Do you like seeing humorous or inventive ads?
Marketing managers must determine what types of promotional strategies are likely to work best on the types of consumers they are targeting to buy their companies’ products.
Imagine you have just been hired to overhaul the marketing division at a well-regarded global firm. (You may choose any global firm, from any industry, to use in this assignment.) The firm’s CEO wants to
throw out previous marketing strategies and start fresh.
For this assignment, write a proposal to the CEO that includes the following components:
-An explanation of what the marketing communications process will look like under your direction.
-An idea for a new promotional campaign.
-An explanation of what will happen at each of the main stages of this new promotional campaign.
-A description of at least three promotional elements that will be made use of in the campaign, accompanied by a discussion of the pros and cons of each.”
